Tarjuna Systems Inc. is a California-based company operating across two distinct areas: engineering consulting for transportation infrastructure and publishing through its Tarjuna Press imprint.

Founded and led by Vineet Agrawal, P.E., President & CEO, Tarjuna brings an interdisciplinary perspective to complex systems—whether those systems involve transportation infrastructure, technology, or the ideas shaping humanity’s future.

Engineering Consulting

Tarjuna Systems specializes in complex rail transit and transportation infrastructure.

We provide engineering, systems integration, project management, and technical advisory services to public transportation agencies and their engineering partners. Our experience spans the full lifecycle of infrastructure projects—from planning and conceptual engineering through design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and implementation.

Our core capabilities include:

• Rail systems engineering and systems integration

• Electrical and traction power systems

• Train control and signaling

• Communications and network infrastructure

• Fire/life safety and security systems

• Fare collection systems

• Testing and commissioning

• Project and construction management

Tarjuna’s professionals bring decades of experience delivering complex infrastructure programs for major transportation agencies, including BART, SFMTA, Caltrain, LA Metro, OCTA, VTA, and other public-sector clients.

Our approach combines deep technical expertise with practical project execution. We understand that successful infrastructure projects require more than good engineering—they require disciplined management of scope, schedule, budget, risk, interfaces, and stakeholder expectations.

As transportation systems become increasingly connected, automated, and technology-driven, Tarjuna continues to expand its capabilities while maintaining the principles on which the company was built: technical excellence, responsiveness, integrity, and accountability.

Tarjuna Press

Tarjuna Press is the publishing imprint of Tarjuna Systems Inc., established to publish ambitious works that explore ideas across disciplines.

Its focus includes human history, philosophy, religion, science, technology, artificial intelligence, economics, civilization, and the long-term future of humanity. Rather than treating these subjects in isolation, Tarjuna Press is particularly interested in works that examine the connections among them and make complex ideas accessible to a broad intellectual audience.

Its first publication is From the Beginning to the Future, written by Vineet Agrawal. The book traces humanity’s story from the origins of the universe and life through civilization, religion, philosophy, science, economics, and technology, before turning toward artificial intelligence and the questions it may force humanity to confront about consciousness, morality, purpose, freedom, and the future.

Through Tarjuna Press, the company extends the same commitment to rigorous thinking and complex systems that informs its engineering work into the exploration and communication of ideas.

Complex Systems. Practical Solutions. Expansive Ideas.
